Arbre du Ténéré è un duo di musica elettronico-psichedelica composto dal chitarrista Maurizio Abate ed il designer Canedicoda e vuole presentarsi come un omaggio all'unicità ed al caso romantico. L'albero del Ténéré (in francese L'Arbre du Ténéré) era un'acacia che si ergeva solitaria nel deserto del Ténéré, e veniva considerata l'albero più isolato al mondo, dal momento che non ve n'erano altri per un raggio di oltre 400 chilometri tutt'intorno. Costituiva un punto di riferimento per le carovane di cammelli che attraversavano questo deserto, nel nordovest del Niger. Si trattava dell'ultima pianta sopravvissuta di un gruppo di alberi cresciuto quando il deserto era meno arido di oggi. Nel 1973 l'albero venne investito ed abbattuto da un camionista libico - a quanto si dice - ubriaco. 
Musicalmente Arbre du Ténéré si presenta come un dialogo tra aperta improvvisazione e volontà di strutture armoniche, passando da situazioni e sonorità ambientali a cascate di morbida psichedelia tra le quali fanno capolino tessiture ritmiche minimali. Il desiderio del duo è di ritrarre musicalmente la figura di quest'albero speciale, nella sua storia, nel suo processo di sviluppo, dai tempi passati alla forma odierna, una scultura metallica che lo sostituisce ed omaggia da quando fu distrutto.
